note (ebay#1 - robsprocket): Full length feature film print of "The Terminator". Super 8 print from Derann, with the addition of stereo sound. Supplied in original card box and mounted on 4 x 600ft spools. I'd prefer to be as honest as possible with the description, so you know exactly what you are bidding for, so here goes... 

The picture is very sharp and steady, a really nice Derann print, slightly masked top & bottom of frame. It is an early print run, and whilst there is the very occasional negative mark, nothing too distracting and certainly the cleanest image you will find on prints of this title.

Colour is very nice indeed - the screenshots are from the actual print.

At a few points during the film, there are light gate marks (looks like where the film has been stopped, reversed and re-queued for re-recording into stereo). For the most part, these only last a few seconds, at one point they last just under a minute, but are very light and again, not too distracting.

Reel 4 does have a slight scratch, but it is to the extreme right of frame; you can probably just see it on the last couple of screenshots.

Sound has been re-recorded into stereo from Derann's original, rather noisy mono track. Dialogue is very clear.

There is some slight drop-out of high frequencies at some points on each track - if you're running it in stereo or twin-track mono, it becomes much less noticeable.

Some slight "wow" can be heard occasionally during the music - also, it is a little quiet at the beginning of reel 4, but nothing too drastic.

So there you have it! I've been quite critical so that the most fastidious of collectors (like me!) hopefully won't be disappointed; really, this is a great print of this title...watching it on film like this is like being transported back to the time of original release and seeing it in a "real" cinema!
